Our Terms and Conditions are available on the Vertical Victories website, and sent to you via email during your booking process. It is your responsibility that all persons on the booking are aware of these terms and conditions. 

Your booking is confirmed once full payment has been received and you have accepted these terms.

You agree to the following:

Medical Declaration and Consent Form

Each participant is required to submit a Medical Declaration and Consent form prior to the experience.

Liability Insurance and loss

We have full Public Liability Insurance and whilst every effort will be taken to ensure participants safety on the day, it must be understood that our activities always contain an element of risk that is beyond our control. We would advise you to take out your own Personal Accident / Cancellation Insurance. If you already have insurance, check that it covers you for the activity that you are undertaking. We do not include any personal accident, cancellation, third party liability or personal insurance. We will accept no responsibility whatsoever in respect of loss or damage to personal property.

Kit

On all climbing sessions I will supply all technical and safety equipment. You may bring your own equipment, and you are free to use this so long as it meets safety standards. I will check all your personal kit before it is used in our sessions. Check out this Kit List to check you’ve got everything you need for your session (also found in the website footer). Please check your own kit prior to arrival to ensure you have all your items.

Food and Drink

You will need to bring enough food and fluids with you. Refreshments are not provided. I will check everyone has enough water before we set off on our adventure – it’s very important!

Meeting Points

You will be informed of the meeting point in the booking confirmation. If you are running late, please inform me as soon as possible. I kindly ask that you use the Google Drop pin provided to you and not the postcode. Postcodes in Wales can encompass a large area and will not always take you to the exact location.

Late Arrivals

All participants must arrive at the designated meeting point at least 10 minutes prior to their experience commencement time. Failure to arrive at or before the scheduled time will not entitle you to a refund or any extended time on your experience. Your experience will finish as previously scheduled at the time of booking.

Weather

The weather will not affect the indoor courses, however high winds, rains and storms will likely affect the running of the outdoor sessions. I will be in touch as soon as possible if the weather is not suitable for the session to go ahead. I may need to alter our planned route or reschedule your experience, often we can have the option of spending some of the day indoors doing some skills or coaching instead. I regret that I do not offer refunds due to circumstances beyond my control, but instead I can offer a gift card to the value of your booking. If for any reason the weather does take a turn for the worse during your experience, I must safely guide you back to a safe place/meeting point where we will discuss the alternative plans.

Payments and Booking

To confirm an experience, full payment is required. When you make a full payment, your booking will be taken as confirmed, and a binding contract between you and Vertical Victories will come into existence. A booking confirmation will be sent in the form of email / text message to the person names on the booking.

Currently you may pay monies due using the following methods:

– by bank transfer (bank details will be sent via email in reply to the booking enquiry )

If we change your course booking:

Whilst every attempt is made to ensure that your course is run, we will notify you of any cancellation as soon as possible where we believe there are reasonable grounds that cancellation is necessary due to dangerous and / or unsuitable conditions for the activity. In the unlikely event that we must cancel your course; you will be offered either a full refund or another course date. We will not be liable for any travel or accommodation related expenses. 

If you cancel your booking:

If you want to cancel your booking you must inform Vertical Victories in writing as soon as possible. Your notice of cancellation will take effect when it is received.

If cancelled with more than 30 days prior to the course/workshop then a 100% refund will be given, minus a £10 admin fee.

If cancelled between 30-15 days before the course then a gift card of the same value will be offered.  A refund may be offered if the event place is re-booked by another participant.

As costs are incurred from the time of your confirmed booking, your payment will go towards our cancellation fees and no refund will be offered if cancelled within 14 days of the session start date.

Gift Cards

A gift card can be exchanged for any of Vertical Victories experiences. This digital voucher will be sent to your inbox.
