From keen beginners to grade pushing projectors.
Are you tired of missing out on good weather windows and climbing because you can’t find a partner?
Maybe your usual projecting pal is tired and can’t spend any more time on that 7b+ you’ve been projecting for months!?
Or maybe you’ve just got into the sport and can’t get enough of it but don’t have any competent belaying friends? or maybe they’re too busy at work when you’re free?
So it’s quite a unique service but I’ve realised a niche! There are so many people who want to climb but struggle to find a competent or consistent belayer. With this service, the focus is on you and your training, there is no need for you to belay.
Whatever the case, if you need a good quality professional belay, who you know will catch you when you fall, then my belay buddy service is for you!
What is included in this service?
I have a vast amount of belaying experience, both personally and professionally, and safety is paramount. You’re guaranteed a good catch with me.
I am also 60kg so you are also guaranteed a soft catch. I’m used to climbing with people heavier than myself.
We will meet at the indoor/outdoor venue and I will be there to belay you. This does not include any tuition that you would receive on a skills course with me, therefore you must be a competent climber yourself.
The booking must be for a minimum of 2 hours.
Location
This is entirely up to you and where that route is.
My local climbing walls are Haverfordwest Leisure Centre and Overhang Climbing Centre in Carmarthen.
Willing to travel within reason. Just let me know your plans and I will see what I can work out!
Cost
£16 per hour. Minimum of 2 hours to be paid upon booking (£32).
As mentioned, I am willing to travel within reason, but you may be liable to extra charges for mileage. Send me your plans and I will let you know how much this will be.
Time will be charged from the point of meeting at the indoor wall or outdoor venue parking.
The climbing wall usually doesn’t charge belayers (who are there solely to belay), however if this is not the case then you will also need to pay entrance fee.
